Myspace has recently implemented a new feature called “People you may know”. Hmm, that sounds vaguely familiar! I don’t think coping facebook is going to bring you guys back up in the long run. Facebook did it right the first time, so give them the glory.

Here’s my take on it:
1) It doesn’t work. I don’t know those people.
2) Who are they? How can I tell who they are when they have those unreadable Myspace names? I can’t. The terrible self pictures don’t help.
3) The “Show More” button does nothing other then refresh the current page. I would much rather have the button be labeled “refresh”.

So yeah, It’s not helping me. What’s the point Myspace?

Alritght, where I live does a terrible job blocking sites. I mean I still can get on facebook and myspace at school! They are closing up on it though. Here are a few of my favorites still unblocked:

So you see, they have blocking software that can remove a site in seconds but the people running them are morons because instead of using a wildcard for all the subdomains (including www) they type in each subdomain! (Like http://www.facebook.com instead of *.facebook.com). Well I can’t complain!

Ok so browsing today led me to this wierd site. Ning.com. You know what, I’m not even linking to it. It gives too much power. Does every single freaking person need to create their own social network? I mean come on we have facebook, myspace, xanga, yahoo 360, and so many more “special interest” groups. People and grouping… Just make a facebook, and make a group! Don’t join another “social network” or heaven forbid make another! Cause you’ll hear it from me, facebook is it.

MySpace Music? What a day!

September 25, 2008

MySpace music received a worthy update today:

msm

It looks nicer… It loads slower… It sounds better… It has more features and doesn’t look fake… Still being MySpace I know the code behind it is really twisted and being new, is vulnerable to all kinds of new hacks I’m sure. Still with playlist support, more artists will upload more music, and MySpace users will probably ditch project playlist, which was the goal I am sure. It still has that colorful music visualizer that doesn’t work. Waste of code, really. Well that’s where anberlin is, not purevolume which I enjoy a lot more.
